A Latin inscription “Ecce Agnus Dei” (Behold the Lamb of God) is above the figure, possibly of John the Baptist holding the Old Testament which promises the Lamb of God (Jesus).

A Latin inscription above the Maddona and Child reads “Ecce ancilla domine” (behold the handmaiden of God)
